Bisanadi National Reserve is located in Isiolo district adjacent to to north-east boundary of Meru, 348 km from Nairobi and it covers an area of 606 square km. It acts as a wildlife dispersal area for Meru national park. It is a part of the Meru, Kora, Mwingi and Bisanadi conservation area. The climate is hot and dry.
The reserve is readily accessible via Meru National Park. Their is currently no accommodation in the reserve but the adjacent Meru National Park may offer various accommodation options.
The wilderness habitat, game viewing, Adamson’s Falls, fishing and boating on river Tana and Rojewero offers some of the major attraction activities.
Many species of mammals including Lions, Elephants, Cheetahs, Rhinos, Buffalo’s Hippos, and over 400 species of birds.
