Ngerende Island Lodge was designed, built and is managed to be different...exclusive luxury, a much overused term, really does come of age at Ngerende but it is not just the luxury, but what comes with it that makes this lodge so different. The staff, the food, quality of accommodation and many other smaller, but no less important, touches all come together to make Ngerende a lodge with a difference.

Ngerende Island Lodge is the result of 4 years of hard work by the owners, Robert and Eunice and is a reflection of how they believe the safari experience should be. The Masai Mara is in its own right, a beautiful, tranquil and calming place which should be enjoyed just as much as the game viewing. To do this successfully the choice of lodge is critical. After all a safari is also a holiday! Ngerende offers the best of luxury in the bush, gourmet dining, warm comfortable suites all with mahogany flooring, comfortable seating both in the suite and on the terrace, outdoor bath or showers. Ngerende offers all these and more!

Ngerende Island Lodge is also about its staff who are dedicated to making your stay with us fulfilling, enjoyable and exciting. Each has been carefully selected, received individual training and is encouraged to make an individual contribution to the general management of the lodge.

Ngerende has been stylishly designed to provide the ideal safari experience where comfort, luxury and outstanding personal service combine naturally with the beautiful wilderness of the Masai Mara.The lodge offers exclusive accommodation, as we can sleep just 14 guests in individual and contemporary designed suites. All seven suites offer stunning views of the Mara River. Whilst in the main building, the dining room extends onto the verandah overlooking the Mara River and the nearby hippo pod. Recently the lodge has completed an infinity swimming pool overlooking one of the largest Hippo Pods in the Northern Mara and a spa offering therapeutic treatments.

There is even a honeymoon suite which is isolated from the main lodge to provide extra privacy, having its own private plunge pool and Jacuzzi.

There is an abundance of wildlife all protected by the conservation ranch and an exclusive project to rear White Rhino so that they can take their place back in the Mara society to which they belong.
