Ashnil Mara Camp

Ashnil Mara Camp, with 40 luxury tents, is located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve and close to the Mara River famous for the wildebeest migration.

Many millions of years ago, Kenya’s shape and form was dramatically remodeled in a series of massive earth movements and volcanic eruptions. Joined with other fissures, the main crack formed the Rift valley, stretching from Jordan to Mozambique.

Ashnil Mara Camp sits on the 25 million year pre-historic land which spans virtually all stages of life’s evolution and the fossil record. It comprises 30 luxury tents, located within the Maasai Mara National Reserve adjacent to the Mara River famous for the wildebeest migration.

The Mara, more often than not has been described as Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve due to the abundant flora and fauna and the gentle rolling grasslands that ensure the animals are never out of sight. Everything about it is outstanding. After 4 ‐ 5 hours drive from Nairobi, this is the perfect place to make a stop‐over for a night or two. There are scheduled flights from Nairobi (45 min) and Mombasa (2.5 hours).
